Job Description:
Position Summary The Research Technician will study lung
inflammation in acute and chronic lung diseases and perform studies
in in vivo studies of mice and in vitro studies using cell
cultures. Utilizing the fundamental components of molecular,
biochemical, and cell biology concepts and physiological in vivo
experimentation, this position will include a wide range of lab
procedures/duties including but not limited to: 1) Basic molecular
biology techniques such as isolation and purification of DNA / RNA
, mouse genotyping and real time PCR , 2) Maintenance of mouse
colonies, 3) Flow cytometry, 4) Ordering lab supplies. Work will
include studies of mouse models of lung disease. Under direct
supervision, this position will be involved in planning, executing,
recording, and analyzing research experiments in a collaborative
work environment. Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00
PM
