DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral
researcher to join our interdisciplinary team at the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Nguyen Lab combines novel
pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, and drug delivery approaches
to develop next-generation biomaterials for the treatment of cancer
and heart attacks. Current projects are supported by several
multi-year NIH and NSF grants. A post-doctoral fellow in our lab
will have the opportunity to lead the development of new
biomaterials and delivery approaches designed to modulate
inflammatory responses in ischemic heart diseases and cancer to
halt disease progression.
ExperienceThe ideal candidate/s will:
- Have a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering,
Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related
- Be proficient in protein engineering.
- Have expertise in mammalian cell culture, RT-PCR, and western
- Have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Have a growth mindset, enjoy working in a team, and be highly
motivated to publish high-impact work.

Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC in Marsico Hall in the Eshelman School of
Pharmacy. The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is the top-ranked
pharmacy school in the country, and the Division of
Pharmacoengineering and Molecular Pharmaceutics has a unique
research focus on drug delivery approaches. The Nguyen Lab is
funded by multi-year grants through the NIH and NSF. More
