The Assistant Director will lead the departmental conduct committee, oversee the implementation of the conduct system and serve as the lead trainer for hearing officers within Carolina Housing. The Assistant Director will also liaison with the Office of Student Conduct and the Dean of Students Office in managing complex student cases. The Assistant Director for Residential Conduct directly supervises 3-4 full time Community Directors and is responsible for oversight of approximately 60 undergraduate student employees. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with a diverse student population, be committed to student learning and personal growth, and have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills. The Assistant Director is a member of the Residential Education Leadership Team and serves in the on-call crisis rotation for the Department of Housing and Residential Education. The position reports to the Associate Director for Residential Living. Educational Requirements:A Master's Degree is required. A Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or College Student Development or related degree is preferred. Qualifications and Experience:Qualification and Experience Requirements A minimum of four years of full-time professional experience. Live-on residence life experience is preferred. Preferred Skills and Competencies - Demonstrated initiative and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; - Demonstrated leadership and effectiveness in promoting respect and appreciation for diversity, inclusion, and pluralism among students and staff; - Demonstrated experience using technology in the delivery of student programs; - Demonstrated ability in assessment of student services and use of assessment results to make changes that improve the delivery of services and programs for students; - Excellent organization, interpersonal, and oral/written/presentation skills.
