Organizational Excellence Leader is an expert in quality
improvement, change management, measurement and analysis, and
project management. The position is responsible for independently
leading and managing various organization-wide quality improvement
efforts from inception through planning, analysis, reporting, and
follow-up monitoring. This position also mentors quality analysts
and quality leaders within the department. This position is part of
the Performance Improvement Team within the Department of
Performance Improvement & Patient Safety at UNC Hospitals. It is
primarily focused in the inpatient patient care areas. This team
leads large-scale improvement projects driven by the organization's
quality goals, working collaboratively with various hospital
departments and multidisciplinary clinical teams. Other Information
--- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.

--- Requires completed portfolio and must have one member of the
Quality committee (or designee) on interview team.
Professional Experience Requirements:
--- If a Bachelor's degree: Five (5) years of experience in quality
team facilitation, project management, process improvement or
quality data analysis.Clinical Experience associated with leading
quality improvement efforts may be assessed as equivalent to direct
quality improvement experience both in determining minimum
requirements, as well as level of experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
--- Strong leadership skills, ability to influence leaders and lead
complex projects. Facilitation skills and presentation skills.
