Never Satisfied. Position Summary A Food Service Technician is
responsible for maintaining the safety and sanitation of food
service equipment and facilities. Their duties include preparation
of food. Requirements Responsibilities Responsible for the
appropriate handling and storage of all food and supplies; always
follow regulations regarding the proper techniques for food
handling Responsible for temperature and sanitation checks and
document checks as required by law Adhere to safety procedures in
operating kitchen equipment Preparation of food, including slicing
meats, preparing sandwiches, cooking fresh offerings Maintain a
safe environment by following Serve-Safe standards Operate all
equipment in the kitchen Management retains the discretion to add
or change duties at any time. Education, Experience and Skills
Required High School Diploma or GED Certification: ServSafe
certification and State appropriate sanitation certification may be
required Knowledge of food preparation and experience in serving,
chilling, and producing breakfast, lunch, dinner with snacks may be
required Ability to organize work; knowledge of commercial food
sanitation policies and procedures Physical Requirements, Working
Conditions, and Travel Requirements Physical Requirements Must be
able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to pull up to75 pounds. Standing for long periods,
general bending and twisting are associated with lifting. Local
travel may be required. Be able to operate in cold (below 40
degrees) environments.
