This study is designed to provide insight into whether there are DNA changes that could party explain why some people respond to treatments for depressive disorder while others do not, and whether knowing about these DNA changes could improve health care for patients with depressive disorder. The study coordinator will be responsible for patient recruitment in person, on the telephone and by mail/email as well as responsible for guiding patients through the informed consent process. The study coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating collection of patient blood samples and handling samples in a safe, organized and efficient manner. The study coordinator will also create study participant profiles in the study database. Education and Experience Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience working in a hospital setting, working with HIPAA protected health information, interacting with patients, and handling blood samples Preferred requirements: Proficient in the use of Epic EHR system, trained in phlebotomy and comfortable with taking blood samples, experience recruiting and consenting patients from clinical research studies, familiarity with entering patient data into RedCap or other EDC systems.
