Availability Requirements

• Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Call Hours: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Call Requirement: Every night while working
• Weekend Call: Included between scheduled work weeks and at the end of rotations
• Call Response Time: 45 minutes to 1 hour

License Requirements

• North Carolina Medical License Required
• North Carolina DEA Required

Certifications & Qualifications

• ACLS Required
• PALS Required
• BLS Required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Case Logs Required

Clinical Skills Required

• Must be proficient in:
  • Spinals
  • Regional Blocks
  • Epidurals

Case Mix

• Approximately 4,900 cases annually
• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Gynecology
• Gastroenterology (GI)
• No Trauma
• No Obstetrics

Practice Details

• 85% supervision / 15% personally performed cases
• Physician responsibilities include:
  • Pre-operative evaluations
  • PACU oversight
  • Board management
  • Regional blocks
  • CRNA support and breaks
• CRNAs also perform blocks

Daily Staffing

• 1 Anesthesiologist
• 4-5 CRNAs
• Total Team: 5-6 providers daily
• 4-6 Operating Rooms

EMR

• Epic

Ideal Candidate

• Comfortable with heavy call responsibilities
• Experienced in both supervision and hands-on anesthesia care
• Strong regional anesthesia skill set
• Comfortable managing perioperative workflow and collaborating closely with CRNAs
