We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our hospital-based
cardiology team in an inpatient-only role. This position offers a
highly desirable 7 days on / 7 days off schedule within a
collaborative, physician-led cardiovascular program.
Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and discharge same-day procedural patients with
appropriate follow-up
- Evaluate new inpatient cardiology consultations
- Round on hospitalized patients and coordinate care with
cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active or eligible North Carolina NP license
- Cardiology experience or relevant clinical rotation
preferred

- This position will require the provider to work independently
in partnership with the additional facility providers for the
management of the patient's overall wellbeing.
- The APP will focus on rounding on cardiology patients and
providing consultation services and supporting new admissions from
the Emergency Department and additional facility transfers.
What We're Looking For
Education: Master's Degree required. Either a graduate of an NCCPA
accredited physician assistant program, or NP or post Master's NP
program required.
Experience: One to three years of experience in Cardiology
preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current NP license in
appropriate state required. NCCPA or registry with state nursing
board, ACLS , BLS, DEA registry required.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete
generic and depart-specific skills validation and competency
testing; Thorough knowledge of diagnosis, and pharmacology;
Thorough skill in physical assessment and management of chronic
illness; Communication skills, both verbal and written; general
computer knowledge is preferred; ability to work independently, yet
in collaboration when necessary. Ability to use problem-solving,
decision making, creative and communication skills. Dedicated to
patient rehabilitation and self-care.
Hours: 7on and 7off; 7AM - 7PM (Monday - Sunday)
