ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts in ICU stepdown unit • Patient ratio of 1:3-4 • 36 or 48-hour work weeks available • 13-week contract duration • Every other weekend requirement • Float requirement to sister ICCU unit as needed • Minimum 2 years of experience required • Accepts first-time travelers • Must have strong drip experience and arterial line management • Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS • Must pass EKG testing prior to start • Experience required with vasoactive drips, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management • Skills needed: central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula • Must be comfortable with conscious sedation and IV insulin protocols • Work with patient diagnoses including post rapid response patients, respiratory distress, GI bleeds, post-operative patients • Treat patients from adolescent to geriatric age groups • Use Epic charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing • Scrubs: Navy, white, or combination of both • Hospital orientation required during first week • 24 hours of orientation provided • Maximum 7 days RTO allowed • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays • Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week Facility: This healthcare facility features an 18-bed ICU stepdown unit with 20 total beds that operates as a specialized critical care environment.
