year of recent PICU/PCICU experience License: NC or Compact license
in hand Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Flu vaccine required
with no exemptions accepted. Description: This position requires a
registered nurse specializing in a pediatric cardiac intensive care
unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of recent experience
in PICU or PCICU settings. Required certifications include BLS and
PALS. Floating to other units may be required. Weekend shifts will
be necessary every other weekend. The patient age groups include
neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Ideal candidates will
have experience with complex congenital heart diseases. Additional
skills in hemodynamic monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, and
post-operative cardiac care are preferred. Knowledge of advanced
life support equipment such as ECMO and VAD is beneficial. The unit
supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory
services, and pharmacy. Candidates must have strong communication
skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-acuity
environment. Candidates should be able to meet compliance deadlines
promptly. Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and
adhering to infection control protocols is essential. Ability to
provide compassionate patient care while managing multiple tasks is
critical. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to
continuous learning and professional development. All vaccinations,
including the flu vaccine, must be completed prior to starting the
