Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting • Report directly to the Nurse Manager/Director • Minimum 2 years current nursing experience required • 1 year of nursing experience minimum requirement • Required certifications: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) • Education requirement: Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from accredited school of Nursing • Preferred education: BSN or MSN from accredited school of Nursing • Assess and care for patients with complex medical problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans • Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs • Participate in patient education and discharge planning • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for comprehensive patient care • Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies and procedures in care delivery • Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities • English proficiency required for reading, writing, and speaking Facility: This healthcare system operates as a comprehensive medical center providing a wide range of clinical services and specialized care.
