Looking for a flexible locum tenens opportunity in a supportive, professional environment? A healthcare facility near Vanceboro, NC, is seeking a dedicated Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to provide essential weekend call coverage. This position is a great chance to deliver quality care while maintaining a balanced schedule. Key Details: Start Date: February 15, 2025 Schedule: One weekend per month Friday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM Ongoing need for coverage Coverage Type: Call only Setting: Inpatient; no outpatient responsibilities Practice Overview: Average patients per shift: 3-8 Beds in department: 12 Call response time: 15 minutes Call back rate: ~25% Average annual deliveries: 650 Required Skills and Certifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology ACLS and NRP certifications required Experience with: Low and high-risk pregnancies Routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs Obstetric ultrasounds and FHR interpretation Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations Surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic procedures preferred) Support and Resources: Credentialing timeframe: 10-15 days (temporary privileges available) No supervision of advanced practice providers or residents required Onsite call room or local hotel accommodations available Insurance provided by the vendor Additional Information: Trauma Level: N/A Pediatric Level: 2 Strong provider and unit support to ensure seamless coverage Nearest airport This locum tenens position offers a rewarding opportunity to support a vital department in maintaining quality care for the community.
