here. What This Role Is All About Our Telephone Triage Nurse is
often the first voice a parent hears when they're unsure,
concerned, or looking for reassurance. Your calm presence and
clinical expertise will help families understand what to do next
and whether their child needs to be seen that day. This is a hybrid
role , blending remote flexibility with in?office teamwork:
Training Period: First 30 days fully on-site , Monday–Friday, to
ensure comfort with workflows, triage protocols, and our culture of
communication. Hybrid Schedule After Training: 3 days in office and
2 days remote each week. The balance of connection flexibility is
ideal for a nurse who loves teamwork but also appreciates focused
time working from home. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient
assessments over the phone Use triage protocols and clinical
judgment to evaluate urgency Provide clear, compassionate guidance
to parents Schedule same?day visits when needed Document
interactions accurately in the EHR Collaborate with providers and
clinical teams Educate families about conditions, home care, and
next steps Assist with clinical tasks while on-site (medications,
injections, vitals, venipuncture) Stay current on pediatric triage
and safety best practices Requirements Active RN license Strong
communication and clinical assessment skills A calm, warm, and
supportive communication style Nice-to-Haves: 1 year of phone
triage experience Experience with EHR systems Why You'll Love
