Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process • One year of nursing experience required • Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing required • BSN or MSN preferred • North Carolina registered nurse license required • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required • Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental levels affecting ability to learn • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans • Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs • Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and evaluation of patient care • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects • Collaborate with patients and families to prepare and update care plans • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families • Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities • English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking required Facility: This healthcare system operates as a comprehensive medical center providing advanced clinical services and patient care.
