Salem, North Carolina, 27103! Job Title: Registered Nurse

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Must-Have:
Experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips
PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience Telemetry and interpretation of
dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Telemetry monitoring on the
unit Use of Rapid Response Teams IV insulin protocols Blood product
administration Central line care and management Peripheral line
care and management PICC line management Heparin protocols CVA care
Chest tube management External CPAP/BIPAP usage High-flow nasal
cannula (HFNC) experience Nasal cannula administration Non-invasive
airway management Tracheostomy management Familiarity with
isolation precautions Description: RTO after booking is not
allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in
cancellation. This unit operates similarly to an ICU. Strong drip
experience is essential. Travelers are accepted, including
first-time travelers. Local candidates are also welcome. Target
ratios on the unit are 3:1 to 4:1. Floating to the sister unit as
needed may be required. Weekend work is required every other
weekend. Patient diagnoses include respiratory distress, unstable
hemodynamics, withdrawals, GI bleeds, and post-operative care for
various surgeries. Patients range from adolescents to geriatrics.
Only one pressor drip is permitted per patient; more may
necessitate transfer to ICU. Nurses must recognize and treat
dysrhythmias. Necessary equipment includes bedside telemetry
monitors. There are no ventilators on the unit. The unit is
equipped with various drips for management. Candidates must be
willing to float to other areas based on needs. Experience with
charting systems is preferred. References from recent managerial
supervisors are highly preferred. Travelers must adhere to fatigue
policies, which limit work to five consecutive days. Modules
related to the role must be completed prior to starting the
