A skilled Registered Nurse is needed to provide expert care in the Operating Room setting with a focus on orthopedic, spine, gynecological, general surgery, and robotics procedures. This contract opportunity involves working 12-hour variable shifts at a well-established healthcare campus, offering an engaging environment for experienced OR nurses passionate about surgical nursing. Key Qualifications: Current NC or Compact RN license required AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory Minimum 3-5 years of operating room experience including ortho, spine, GYN, general surgery, and robotics Strong charting skills; experience with Epic electronic health records preferred Ability to manage change, demonstrate resilience, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced setting Must adhere to scrub color policy (red, black, gray, or white solid colors; see guidelines for additional details) COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless exempted for medical or religious reasons Responsibilities: Deliver safe and effective nursing care throughout surgical procedures in the operating room Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Respond to call requirements including up to 50 hours of on-call per six-week schedule Comply with hospital policies regarding dress code and infection control Adapt to variable 12-hour shift schedules, including weekends and holidays Schedule & Duration: 12-hour variable shifts Contracts offered for 36 to 40 hours per week 13-week contract with immediate start Location: This role is based near a thriving healthcare campus in the vibrant area of Chapel Hill, NC, known for its rich cultural scene, excellent educational institutions, and welcoming community atmosphere.
