Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/20/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in an ICU setting • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital environment • Assess and care for patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans • Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care • Assess readiness to learn of patients, families, and caregivers • Participate in patient education and discharge planning activities • Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care • Maintain knowledge of public policy and regulatory guidelines affecting healthcare • Promote a safe, clean and secure hospital environment • Required: 2 years of Trauma Level 1 ICU experience • Required: One year of nursing experience minimum • Required: Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from accredited school of nursing • Required: North Carolina RN license • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) • Preferred: BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing Facility: This healthcare organization is a comprehensive academic medical center that provides advanced trauma and critical care services.
