Manager-Dermatology- Chapel Hill, NC Job Location: 77 Vilcom Center
Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 Job Summary: We are seeking a NURSE
MANAGER for our DAWSON HALL CLINIC located in CHAPEL HILL, NC to be
an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and
indirect care to patients. The schedule for this position is day
shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Dawson Hall is
a 21 bed clinic for our General Dermatology, Cosmetic, and Laser
(adult and peds) providers. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Manage
nursing services delivered within the dermatology clinic and ensure
scope of practice compliance with nursing services Identify
clinical operational needs; manage appropriate level of equipment
and supplies and monitors equipment maintenance. Collaborate with
Health Center Administrator in determining the fiscal requirements
of the specific clinic; submit budgetary recommendations, including
necessary nursing personnel and patient care materials necessary
for the provision of care. Cultivate exemplary customer service
throughout the organization; promote effective communication skills
to include, but not limited to problem solving, assertiveness, and
support for team members, feedback, active listening and conflict
resolution. Manage various personnel actions including, but not
limited to hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions
and scheduling; and counsel and conduct formal discipline of
clinical staff. Develop, document, implement and monitor written
policies and procedures reflective of the ambulatory health care
site mission settlement and objectives. Manage specific clinic in
absence of Health Care Administrator/Practice Manager; and be
available on-call for emergencies involving the facility, staff
members and patients. Assess the environment and make
recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety and
compliance with various regulatory bodies (OSHA, JCAHO, etc.).
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described
herein. Job Eligibility Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
is required. Three years of nursing experience is required. Must
have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North
Carolina. BLS certification required. Dermatology experience and
use of Epic EMR a plus. Current Duke employees a plus. Job
Schedule: Hours are Day Shift, Monday through Friday. No weekends
