Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist - Radiologic Technologist Job Details: • Temp to perm position with local candidates reviewed first • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all aspects of General Diagnostic Radiology • Adhere to Departmental Protocols and Policy and Procedures • Obtain and maintain RT(R) credentials with "Active Status" • Use technical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment and protocol problems • Share knowledge with employees and students in the work unit • Ensure patient demographic information, emulsion markers, and examination requests are correct • Critique, orient and save all pertinent images • Transmit QA-ed images to PACS and ensure all images reach PACS • Document completion and/or cancellation of all procedures in RIS • Maintain image management equipment and report equipment problems • Use PACS and HIS systems for obtaining additional study data • Perform quality radiographic images on a consistent and ongoing basis • Analyze requests and draw appropriate conclusions for examination and action plans • Review radiographic orders and images, correlating patient demographic information • Review daily schedules and status of patients waiting for examinations • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Document incidents and advise area supervisor of improvement opportunities • Use RIS, CIS, PACS and SMS systems effectively to access information • Verify patient identity and obtain relevant patient history • Verify pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation • Assess patients' physical conditions and develop action plans • Assist patients requiring extra attention and react to emergency situations • Required certifications: ARRT Certified in Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider • Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually • Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required • No prior experience required Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive diagnostic radiology department that maintains high standards for patient care and imaging services.
