Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in ICU setting • One year of nursing experience required • Trauma Level 1 experience required • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital setting • Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental level affecting ability to learn • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan • Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs • Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs through education programs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in evaluation of patient care • Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families • Required certifications: North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) • Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school required; BSN or MSN preferred • Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care • Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution offering comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
