Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience License: NC or Compact License Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: IV Start and Telemetry Skills Ability to pass EKG Testing prior to start Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may lead to cancellation. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Ratios are 1:5-6. Contracts for 13-26 weeks are accepted. 36 or 48 hours can be offered. Floating is required as needed to similar units. Weekend shifts: 4 weekends per each 6-week schedule. Average patient stay is 1.8-2.4 days. There is rapid patient turnover on the unit daily. An ADT nurse is available Monday-Friday during peak transition times. Absences must be made up at the end of the contract. Calls out on weekend shifts require making up another weekend shift at the manager's discretion. The facility cannot promise a block schedule but will accommodate requests. Patient diagnoses include: Pre/Post Cath Pre/Post PPM & AICD Watchmen Procedures Stress Tests Management of Arterial & Venous Sheaths TIA population Carotid Stent Patient Management Cardiac Telemetry Management of Arrhythmias Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI Patients. Travelers may float within the facility or to nearby affiliates based on skill sets and current census. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units. Charting experience required, with Epic being the most common. Two manager/supervisor references from the past 12 months are preferred at the time of start. Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours in a week. Modules must be completed pre-start and annually. Modules vary by specialty and are recorded via online learning and in-person classes.
