Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH certifications required Must-Have: Experience with arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips Telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias IV insulin protocols and blood product administration Central line care/management and PICC line management Management of chest tubes, external CPAP/BIPAP, and high flow nasal cannula Isolation precautions experience Description: This job requires a registered nurse in the ICU specialty. It operates in an environment resembling an ICU. Candidates must have strong drip experience. The target ratios for patient care are 3:1 or 4:1. Nurses will be expected to float to a sister unit as needed. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Patient diagnoses may include respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, and post-operative care. This unit does not utilize vents; however, it provides care for patients with a variety of needs. All nurses must be able to recognize and treat dysrhythmias. Charting experience with Epic is required. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the facility without restrictions. All required certifications must be current and valid prior to the start of the assignment. Additional experiences that may be beneficial include IV start and conscious sedation skills. The unit cares for various patient ages, from adolescent to geriatric. The environment supports learning and quick adaptation, suitable for experienced candidates.
