Assistance Occ Summary Independently plan and provide professional
nu rsing care for patients inaccordance with physician orders and
establish edpolicies andprocedures. Provide nursing services to

Compensation is a flat rate that is based on years of experience.
Work Performed Plan, provide, supervise a nd document professional
nursing careutilizing the nursing process for p atients in
accordance with physicianorders and established policies andp
rocedures. Use professional nursingjudgment to individualize the
plan of care based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs and
response to care.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of
other licensed andu nlicensed care providers.Assist other nursing
personnel in the deliveryo f nursing care and actas team leader or
charge nurse for a group of pati ents or an entire unitas
assigned.Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the
environment ofcare including equipment and material res
ources.Participatein own professional development by maintaining
requir edcompetencies, identifying learning needs and seeking
appropriateassist ance or educational offerings.Act as preceptor
and support the developme nt of other staff and
formallearners.Participate in the identificationofclinical or
operational performanceimprovement opportunities and inperf ormance

Qualifications Education Work requires graduation from an
accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in
Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate
BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete
the program within five years of their start date. Experience 2
years of appropriate clinical experience required Degrees,
Licensures, Certifications Must have current or compact RN
licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required. Duke is an
