  • Relocation Assistance! The Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit at Duke University Hospital is comprised of a 21-bed post-cardiac catheterization unit. Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time. The patient population in this area includes pre- and post-procedural cardiac patients. Primary responsibilities include prepping patients prior to procedures (such as cardiac cath), pre-med, starting IVs, drawing labs, pulling sheaths, and general post-procedure recovery. A minimum of 2 years cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred. ACLS certification would be required within 6 months of hire. Work Hours & Shifts:Full Time: Mostly 12-hour day shifts with occasional rotation to nights. No weekend or holiday commitment! Duke Nursing Highlights:

Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job classification. Experience Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required. At a manager's discretion, employees with 6 months of experience who are exceptional performers may be eligible for this level. Degrees, Licensures, Certifications Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of NorthCarolina. BLS required.
