Heelstone Renewable Energy is an independent power producer with expertise in developing, financing, constructing, operating and maintaining solar photovoltaic projects. This is a full-time position located in Chapel Hill NC, reporting to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities include:

• Manage asset O&M for a portfolio of projects, including direct oversight of subcontractors
• Direct project troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades as necessary
• Primary point of contact to manage or direct Corrective Maintenance dispatch and warranty work
• Maintain schedule of preventative maintenance and inspections, and O&M contract compliance
• Analyze project performance and make recommendations for improved performance
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
• Review subcontractor reporting, and present to Asset Manager
• Review and approval of vendor and subcontractor invoices
• Review owner reporting
• Travel regularly to operating projects, and projects under construction
• Assist and support on operational efforts for construction of new project pipelineEXPERIENCE
  • At least 2 years of directly relevant experience in solar
  • Experience in managing subcontractors and budgets
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of electric fundamentals and solar PERSONAL QUALITIES
    • Self-starter with ability to manage matters from commencement to final resolution
    • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
    • Strong organization and matter management skills; strong attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team and prioritize work as needed
    • Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects, prioritize efforts and work effectively under pressure.
      EDUCATION & TECHNICAL SKILLS
      • B.S. or B.A. degree or higher education from an accredited college or university
      • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
