Role Description
Rivers Agency is seeking a Social Media Marketing Manager to manage and build our client's social media accounts. Our ideal teammate is a social storyteller; someone who can define a vision for social media for each client, develop social programs across paid and organic channels, and measure performance regularly. In this role, you'll work closely with internal teams to create cohesive and effective strategies, visual assets, and messaging to support social campaigns. A combination of strategic thinking and social media execution across all paid and organic social channels is required. We are looking for a go-getter who wants to take charge of representing a diverse set of clients across social channels. This means aligning social strategy and content to create a strong brand narrative and meaningful engagements with a targeted audience.
Expectations as a Social Strategist

  • Knows the various platforms and what is most effective use of the platforms for client objectives.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans and comprehensive briefs for the development of social-specific campaigns and content.
  • Understands the different types of research and key resources and when best to use them.
  • Understands media results and can strategize how we improve creative to optimize results.
    Skills and qualifications:
    • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and/or branding, with client-facing responsibilities and social media specialization.
    • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok and other social media best practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Proven experience in managing social media accounts for brands, as well as successfully growing audience and engagement across multiple platforms.
    • Strong understanding of paid and earned social media, with an emphasis on platform capabilities and limitations.
    • Working knowledge of Social Media Management Platforms like Sprout, Later, Hootsuite, etc.
    • Great leadership, interpersonal, time management, problem-solving, presentation and communication skills.
