Perform Permit Vision for work requests and process through the permit life cycle including review/approve/issue permits, review/approve/execute ICCs (LOTO), and review/approve Flush & Drain Plans. Relationships Reports to Manager. Essential Functions Recognize the conditions of work that require Lockout/TagoutAssess all hazardous energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, thermal, and other sources in machines, equipment, and systems which can be hazardous to employees & other stakeholders onsiteUse documented procedures and approved isolation devices to implement Lockout/TagoutMust adhere to key elements of OSHA regulations known onsite as the Ten Life Safety RulesAdhere to all Quality & Environmental regulations within area of responsibilitySupport identification of hazards and associated mitigation plansMaintain standards & operational procedures for the Central Permit Office (CPO)Work daily with computer programs to perform tasks (Microsoft office suite, CMMS (SAP), Permit Vision, Robex, etc.)Occasionally make decisions of minor importance, which may affect the work operations of employees & other key stakeholders to a moderate degreeFollow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther duties as assigned Physical Requirements Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Must be able to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May require corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves. May perform critical job functions in extremely cold work environments depending on site. May position oneself within confined spaces for inspection if required of the role. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. May be required to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized vehicle based on the role. Qualifications HS Diploma or GED requiredMay consider an Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or relevant field of study from an accredited university with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in engineering technology, maintenance, manufacturing or utilities preferredMinimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in engineering technology, maintenance, manufacturing or utilities requiredKnowledge & experience in the operations, &/or maintenance of utilities &/or manufacturing equipment preferredExperience working in a regulated environment (FDA, cGMP, OSHA) preferredAbility to use appropriate PPE, including PAPR requiredWillingness to join and actively participate in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) preferredAbility to read/review and understand P&ID, PFD, electrical schematics requiredStrong communication skills across multiple organizational levels preferredUnderstanding of Safe Work Practices requiredExperience identifying and isolating hazards (LOTO) preferredWillingness to join and actively participate as Health & Safety Representative (HSR) preferred We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
