Job Description Job Purpose This role involves ensuring that quality standards (safety, performance, and reliability) are met throughout the entire process, from the design and manufacturing of HF120 jet engine parts to supplier management. This includes identifying and investigating defects, developing preventative measures, conducting quality audits, and collaborating with customers and suppliers in global technical quality assurance activities. Oversees overall parts productivity, operational efficiency/costs and customer delivery targets. Provides guidance for overall scheduling plans and daily production direction. Leads all business plan activities associated with delivery and cost of in-house production parts and all supply chain parts. Key Accountabilities - Support Suppliers and in house manufacturing for quality related activities. Review completed product final inspection sheets and special process documentation for acceptability - Support of non-conforming part related investigations (NCMR) and review with engineering - Implement corrective action and preventative action support both internal and with supply base - Design Change investigation support for manufacturing and supplier related activities - Review processes (Routers, FMEA, operation standards, process control sheets and all other control documentation) to ensure design requirements have been met - Lead supplier audits (when certified) to AS9100 and specific customer requirements Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications - Bachelors degree in aerospace / mechanical engineering or applicable work experience Minimum Experience - 10 years experience in Aerospace as an engineer - Computer skills Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc Other Job-Specific Skills - Must be able to understand drawings and specifications with ability to communicate technical information effectively - Good interpersonal skills and self-motivation with the ability drive continuous improvement - Preferred to speak in japanse and able to communicate with engineers in japan - Experience with CAD/ CATIA and working knowledge of gauging, calibration, gd&t and cmm - Experience in product nonconformance dispositions - MRB and product First article review and approval is a plus - MRB-E license holder preferable - knowledge of AS9100 quality standard requirements Working Conditions - Climate-controlled office environment. - The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required. - Less than 40% travel.
