Job Description:
Position Summary The Office of Experiential Programs complements
the School’s academic mission and is responsible for (1) building
and sustaining strategic partnerships for the delivery of the
experiential education program; (2) creating the vision and
learning outcomes for these experiences in collaboration with our
experiential partners and the School; (3) forming the practice site
teams needed to fully execute on implementing these experiences;
(4) increasing engagement of preceptors in contemporary preceptor
training and development programs; (5) collaborating with our
student affairs team to provide support to our students and
practice sites; (6) overseeing operations to maintain the
approximately 225 students completing practice experiences
annually; and (7) assessing and sharing the results of our
experiential program internally and externally. The Office of
Experiential Programs is part of the Office of Professional
Education. The Office of Experiential Programs functions as a
cohesive unit where teamwork, collaboration, and innovation are
encouraged and celebrated. The Assistant Dean of Experiential
Curriculum leads: (1) the Office of Experiential Programs; (2)
administration of the School’s experiential curriculum; (3)
preceptor/practice site quality assurance, training, development,
and recognition; and (4) in collaboration with the Office of
Student Affairs, student support services for the experiential
education program. The Assistant Dean reports to the Executive Vice
Dean-Chief Academic Officer and supervises faculty and professional
staff in the Office of Experiential Programs. The Assistant Dean of
Experiential Curriculum serves on the PharmD curriculum leadership
team as well as the School’s Executive Leadership team. Depending
on qualifications and alignment with the School’s academic mission,
the selected candidate may also be considered for a secondary
faculty appointment. Required Qualifications, Competencies, And

Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience Preferred
qualifications for this position include at least three to five
years of experience inpatient or outpatient (e.g. community and/or
ambulatory care) pharmacy practice following degree attainment and
relevant post-graduate training is preferred, if applicable.
